Gold Calculator Widget
Gold is quoted internationally in US dollars per troy ounce but bought and sold locally by tola and gram at varying karat purity. This free gold calculator widget bridges the two — it converts the live international rate into a local tola rate, then prices an actual piece of jewellery including every charge a shop adds. Embed it on any jewellery, bullion, or finance site and your visitors get an accurate, transparent price breakdown without leaving your page.

Show the currency dropdown. Turn off to lock the widget to the currency selected above — the picker is hidden entirely and every figure stays in that currency.
Display the international gold price box (per ounce in USD) above the local rate.
Display the karat comparison table with a price per tola and per gram for each purity.
Choose which purities the karat table lists. Drag to reorder, or remove the ones your market does not use.
Show the karat, weight, wastage, making charges and tax fields with the calculated result. Turn off to leave just the 24K rate and karat table — the rate stays editable, but is not saved, so every reload shows the live figure.
Allow visitors to save calculations with a photo and compare several quotes. Saved locally in the visitor's browser.
Display the collapsible explanations of how the rates and final price are calculated.
How live price changes are highlighted when prices update in real time.
How long the color highlight stays visible after a price change (e.g. 1500 = 1.5 seconds).

Live Gold Rate Conversion
The widget loads the live XAU/USD gold price and the USD exchange rate for your chosen local currency automatically. It converts the international ounce price (31.1035 grams) into a local tola rate (11.664 grams) using the standard formula, and visitors can override either figure to match what their local market is quoting. Every karat from 24K down to 9K is priced per tola and per gram in a single comparison table.
Full Jewellery Price Breakdown
A quoted jewellery price is rarely just the metal. The calculator separates gold value, wastage, making charges, stone deduction and tax into individual lines, so visitors see exactly what they are paying for. Wastage can be entered as a percentage, a fixed amount, or additional grams; making charges as a fixed total, a per-gram rate, or a percentage of gold value; and tax can apply to the full subtotal, the making charges only, or the gold only.
Buy and Sell Modes
In Buy mode, wastage, making charges and tax are added. In Sell mode, the calculator instead deducts refining loss, shop margin, and any per-gram cut, and applies a discount to the shop's buying rate — showing visitors what they would actually receive when selling gold back.

Who Uses a Gold Calculator?
Jewellery retailers embed it so customers can verify a quote before visiting the shop. Bullion dealers use it to show transparent buy and sell pricing. Finance and personal-budgeting sites add it for readers tracking gold as an investment. News sites covering commodity markets pair it with daily gold rate reporting so readers convert the headline ounce price into what a piece actually costs locally.
