Five Pivot Calculation Methods

Classic pivot points use the standard formula — (High + Low + Close) / 3 — with three support and three resistance levels above and below. Fibonacci pivots apply 38.2%, 61.8%, and 100% retracement ratios. Camarilla uses tighter levels based on range multipliers — popular for intraday forex trading. Woodie pivots weight the closing price more heavily in the calculation. DeMark pivots adjust based on the open-close relationship. The widget displays all five methods simultaneously so traders can compare levels.

How Traders Use Pivot Points

Day traders watch S1 and R1 as the first profit targets and stop-loss zones. If price breaks above R1, R2 becomes the next target. Floor traders have used pivot points for decades — they work because enough market participants watch the same levels. Forex traders combine pivot levels with RSI readings to confirm entries at support or resistance. The widget calculates everything automatically — visitors just pick a symbol and timeframe.

Embed for Any Market

Forex sites embed pivot points for major pairs — EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY — so visitors plan trades before market open. Crypto analysis pages show BTC and ETH pivots for intraday trading levels. Stock trading blogs use daily and weekly pivots for swing trade planning. Vunelix's widget supports any tradeable symbol — set a default and let visitors switch to their preferred instrument.
